Gldani Marble Table

A Special marble table project for a private residence in Tbilisi, Georgia. The challenge was designing a big family table with only marble in collaboration with a Georgian local stone craftsman. We came up with an idea to use glossy marble to reflect the amazing Georgian landscape from their big windows on the table top. The marble surface can be changed by scenery and they can feel the changes of time, weather, and even seasons through the marble top.

ジョージア、ティビリシ郊外に位置する、個人邸向け特注大理石テーブルをデザインする計画である。現地の石職人と入念に打ち合わせを重ねて、彼らの知識と経験を存分に活かしながら、大理石のみで構成されるダイニングテーブルを設計した。光沢のある大理石を使用することで、大きな窓から素晴らしい景観が天板に反射して映り込むことに注視し、時間や天気、そして季節の変化さえも、この天板から感じ取れるデザインを意図した。
